A moment for our learners
There is a lot of practice behind a learner finding their voice in Yorùbá. This symposium gives our learners a chance to share what they’ve been working on, with their families, tutors and fellow learners there to encourage them.
We’ll come together beyond our regular lessons to recognise their progress and spend time with the language and culture that connect us.

Presentations celebrating our learners’ Yorùbá skills and creativity.
Riddles, word puzzles, proverbs and Yorùbá song challenges.
Recorded reflections from a parent and an adult learner.
Cultural activities and recognition for our learning community.
Prizes and learning gifts are subject to activity rules and eligibility.
For our learners, parents and guardians, tutors, and the people cheering them on.

The symposium is a virtual event, streamed live online.
The programme will run for two hours.
Some learner presentations will be recorded in advance and played during the live event.
Students who take part in learner presentations will receive certificates of attendance and participation.
Eligible Alámọ̀já students and parents or guardians can receive digital learning gifts through the games. Rewards are subject to the rules and eligibility requirements for each activity.
